Being
fascinated with scented goods and played with my mum’s perfume atomisers since
I was little, which must had something to do with my latest obsession about
perfumes. I find that scent- testing/shopping is somehow a great way to indulge
myself and brighten up the day; not to mention that the olfactory treat is one
of the best kept secret of mine when I just want to step away from the busy
daily life for a while, and lose myself to a world where the scents and senses all
of a sudden becomes vividly exciting.
I am a big fan of oriental floral, oriental vanilla
and chypre floral perfumes. Some of them are like fine-art to me. However, I
can’t live without floral or floral fruity type of scents as they are easy to
wear and most often, my ‘go-to’ scents list consists of a large portion of
these light-spirited ones.I often lean towards notes like rose, violet,
lily-of-the-valley, iris, freesia, citrus, raspberry, vanilla, patchouli, and
musk(the clean ink-y one), while avoiding quite heady white flowers like
jasmine, tuberose or neroli.
The blog 'Scents and My 2 Cents' is more of a perfume-testing diary of mine. Since personal preference in perfumes is highly subjective, I do hope my reviews do not offend anyone and hopefully there is somewhat a degree of objectiveness which can be helpful for those who might use my reviews to guide them in their perfume trial-and-error journey.
Happy sniffing! :-)
